The English Department works with majors to establish research trajectories and engage with scholarly and archival materials. Below are Emory resources to help you find funding, fellowships, and opportunities to present your work. Please contact your advisor for more information on constructing research agendas for classes, capstone projects, and honors theses.

Funding opportunities for research and travel:
Johnston Fellowship for Travel and Research — funding for both US and international research projects (English Department)
Independent Research Grants — funding for both US and international research projects (ECAS)
Conference Presentation Grants — funding for both US and international conference presentations (ECAS)
National Scholarships and Fellowships Award Finder — funding opportunities including research grants, scholarships, and fellowships (ECAS)
Halle Institute Undergraduate Global Research Fellows — funding for extensive research outside of the United States, and includes participation in a research workshop, URP 499R (Halle Institute)
Summer Undergraduate Research Experience — 10-week, full-time research at Emroy during the summer includes a stipend and housing (on Emory campus) (ECAS)
Pathways Internship Funding — funding for summer internships and experiential learning (ECAS)
Rose Library Currey Travel Award — funding to support original research in an archival repository (Libraries)

Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry Undergraduate Fellowships — includes a stipend, shared office space, workshops, and presentations
