Leland JaspersePostdoctoral Fellow
Leland Jasperse is Visiting Assistant Professor of English at Emory, where his teaching and research examine the relationship between medicine, embodiment, and aesthetics from the 19th century to the present. Before arriving at Emory, he was the Helen and Robert Appel Fellow in History and Technology at the New York Historical and Humanities Teaching Fellow at the University of Chicago, where he received his PhD in 2023. His research appears in American Literature, GLQ: A Journal of Lesbian and Gay Studies, L.A. Review of Books, Nursing Clio, and elsewhere.
